A dream once seen by seasoned legendary banker Shri Gokul Bakshi, founder of PRIME BANK in 1994 stands cherished with a spread across 9 districts, over a geographic area of 340 Kilometers, having a staff strength of over 300 people with excellent growth during the years & the best yet to come by way of infrastructure, modern technological upgradation, staff turnout & improvement in business figures year on year.
Our Resp. Founder chairman Shri Gokul Bakshi needs no introduction in the banking fraternity or in south Gujarat area. A seasoned banker who worked with Bank of Baroda for over 2 decades, including a few years in British Guyana, South America while he was in banks’ service. A few like minded people joined him in starting our bank in 1994, wherein RBI had liberalized norms for giving licences to co-operative banks. From day one, the branch had fully computerized operations at its first opened branch at Khatodara, Surat.
Blessed with immense knowledge & training of classical music, Mr. Bakshi is a sitarist & a keyboard player, where he has performed stage shows within India & abroad in the early part of his career. His literary touch is well known & above all, he is blessed with a tremendous sense of humor.
We, the board of directors & staff will always be thankful to him for the initiative taken, leading us, guiding us & always being there as our back bone in good as well as trying times. We have been with him through all the thick & thin, so far & promise to do so in future & at all times. We thank him for being there & with us, teaching & inspiring us that one good thought can really be turned into an organization.
